Henry Mintzberg is the Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies at McGill University in Montreal. He is an internationally renowned scholar whose work runs counter-current to generally recognized theories and approaches. He has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of knowledge in various management fields.

Professor Mintzberg has published 15 books and 150 articles on managerial work, strategy formation, and organizational structure. His constructive conclusions and critiques are founded on solid research and the observation of managers' day-to-day activities. His latest book is called Managing (2009) and he is currently working on a monograph entitled Managing the Myths of Health Care.

For much of the past decade, Professor Mintzberg has worked with colleagues from Canada, England, France, India, and Japan to develop new approaches to management education and development. The new, different and exciting EMBA McGill-HEC Montreal is based on his mindsets theory, and Professor Mintzberg directs its Analytical Mindset module.
